The Third Floor
The Thayer Room
The Thayer Room is the largest of The Third Floor's three-room suite. The room includes a beautiful working marble fireplace along with breathtaking views of the Boston Public Garden. When the mansion was built, the third floor rooms served as the bedrooms for the Thayer family. The Thayer room, belonging to Mrs. Thayer, was specifically chosen for it's stunning views as she was an active member of the Boston Horticultural Society. The space can accommodate 60 guests for a plated meal and up to 100 for a reception style event.
The Codman Room
The Codman Room connects to both the Thayer Room and Abbott Bar. This room is decorated with an elegant marble fireplace and is the perfect, intimate space for your guests to mingle and enjoy cocktails and hors d'oeuvres.
The Abbott Bar
The Abbott Bar was the former bedroom of Mr. Thayer, the Hampshire House's original owner. The space features a decorous marble fireplace and ornate table along with a classic oak bar. The Abbott Bar will welcome and wow your guests with stunning views of Beacon Hill and the warmth of a classic Bostonian bar.
